Autore: in News | April 28, 2017

From the afternoon of Wednesday, April 26, 2017, another effusive activity was recovered from the fracture on the south side of the South-East crater. The lava flow comes out of the same mouth, the effusive event of April 19, at about 3150m. The lava flow heads towards the Barbagallo craters and then continues in the direction of the Valle del Bove. At the same time, another lava emission occurs from a fracture on the northern side of the South-East cone with the lava flow heading to the Valle del Leone.

From the early hours of April 27, a strombolian activity is also reported from the summit of the South-East crater, with a modest ash column transported by the wind towards Northeast.

The volcano hiking activity takes place regularly, within the quota limits established by the ordinance in force.
